Posted on June 17, 2009 by Wallace
Self Improvement has become mainstream. In the last few years, since I have been writing articles and submitting them to article sites, I ve noticed that the category of Self Improvement has been showing up lately when it was never there before. To me, this is very good news. But what does it really mean to Self Improve. What are we really improving when we self improve. And what self are we improving. We each have two selves our wounded self and our core Self. Our core Self is our true self, our natural soul self our essence. Our core Self is our passion, our joy, our gifts and talents, our ability to love, our creativity. We come into this life as our core Self, and when this Self is loved and valued by our parents, we continue to naturally grow our God-given gifts and talents and manifest the fullness of our beings. This Self wants to improve by learning the skills necessary to fully express itself. But when...

My Portion Is Small But I Am Gaining Weight
Posted on February 2, 2009 by Sonja
Obesity has become the number one issue in contemporary US nutrition magazines as it has been increasing across ages and educational backgrounds in a very fast rate. One of the associated causes of this problem is the big portion sizes provided in restaurants all over the US. According to researchers, people have been found to eat more if their plate s portion is larger than usual; and the fact is that the more one eats the more weight he or she will gain if the amount of exercise conducted is kept constant. Since the human stomach needs approximately twenty minutes before signaling to the brain that is full and we should stop eating, people continue eating the food in their plate just because it happens to be there. If restaurants continue to increase their portions so as to increase their demand, people will continue consuming more and more calories and the essence of eating a normal portion will soon be in the...
Organic Lecithin Has Health And Food Processing Benefits
Posted on December 27, 2008 by Alton
Lecithin or phosphatidycholine PC is a phospholipid, first discovered in the 1800s by a French scientist called Maurice Gobley. He extracted the compound from an egg yolk and in 1850 the compound was named lecithin from the word lekithos, which is the Greek term for egg yolk. This lecithin was first used commercially as an emulsifying agent for a number of years. It could extend the life of many processed foods so the food industry began to add it to all kinds of food products including baked goods, nut butters, candies, chocolates, protein drinks, prepared foods and instant soups. The lecithin would also be added to recipes for flavor and also to be an emulsifying agent. In the 1930 s when there was a boom in soyabean consumption, the byproduct of the soyabean processing was discovered to include 1.8 percent of hydrophosphatides. If this sludge was put through a process called degumming organic lecithin could be...
